Ron and I had a relaxing 2 week holiday in Cancun, it had to be one of the most laziest beach holidays we've had in a very long time. The only excursion we had done was take a day trip over to the Island of Isla Muyeres. Only a 25 min fast Ferry ride over and your there and you arrive in no time. Below are a few photos I've taken from our Balcony of our Hotel the" Westin Laguna Mar Resort Villas" enjoying morning sunrises. Every morning was special not knowing what you would expect with the color of the sky and I love enjoying my morning coffee to bring in a new day. I love this place! it was so quiet and with 2 huge pools which were as big as lakes, it was wonderful to swim and not have to bump into anyone while doing my excercises in the pool.
We Arrived to Isla Muyeres and found our way to El Centro to find our Golf Cart Rental, did the paperwork and we were on our way to explore this cute 8 mile long island. This beautiful tourist destination combine the beauty of the Caribbean. I didn't want to leave this Island with it's laid back Island feel to it, no vehicles on the roads except taxis, golf carts and scooters and without the hustle and bustle of the big city of Cancun you could take in the Island at your own pace and see everything it has to offer. There's a wide range of things to see here but we just jumped in the cart and away we went by following the map and just drove around the Island to check out the gorgeous beaches took in the Turtle sanctuary which was fun, and I got to hold some baby turtles!!!
Our Wheels for the day!!! So much fun!
Snorkling is plentiful here but with my camera gear I stood guard and enjoyed being the photographer taking many photos of this beautiful beach!!! Ron was smart and brought his bathing suit so he was enjoying the water!!!
Punta Sur was probably the highlight of our trip. What a great place to take photos of this beautiful rugged place which is the most Eastern part of Mexico you can be. We paid our admission and stopped along the way to enjoy the fabulous views of the Cliff Walk. They had a gift shop and restaurant but we never ate at the restaurant as it was a tourist trap and very pricey so we waited for a better place around the corner after leaving to a little Jamaican gem we were told about a restaurant called the Joint! so glad we waited for the best Jerk Chicken.
I got a little nervous walking along this path as the waves came up quite high but incredible!
Below with Cancun in the background! it was great to get away from what I like to call it " Mini Miami"
Cruising around the Island. I love the pastel colors of these tiny little charming houses and laundry hanging out to dry!
