NICE FRANCE We arrived in Nice by mid afternoon by train and caught a cab straight to our Hotel Le Meridia where we were staying for the night so we only had about 5 hours of daylight to capture it's beauty before it got too dark to photograph as we were heading out the next day to pick up our car rental and drive to Village of Eze where we were staying for 2 nights so we concentrated our time in the Old Town of Nice quickly and thoroughly enjoyed it offering an intriguing look at Nice's melding of French and Italian cultures. The old city is a fine place to linger and enjoy its narrow lanes, and I loved photographing the colorful window shutters which old Nice is famous for. We would love to come back to visit two museums ( Chagall and Matisse) and the Russian Cathedral. At sunset we walked along the Promenade des Anglais and the beach which was quite interesting in itself. I could have photographed people for hours along the path but were rewarded with a brilliant sunset at the end of our day in Nice..
BELOW IS FROM OUR BALCONY FROM OUR HOTEL WE STAYED IN FOR ONE NIGHT. LOOKING ONTO NICE AND DOWN THE BOARDWALK ALONG THE OCEAN.
