C I N Q U E T E R R E | P O R T O F I N O We left early in the morning from Our town of Manarola where we were staying and cought a early train to Portofino. It was the first town we wanted to see first since it was the furthest away on the Cinque Terre. It was a pretty hour's train ride from Manarola to Santa Margherita where we got off and heard it was only a 20 min walk to Portofino along the sea. So we heard wrong and it ended walking a additional 2 and a half hours walk which seemed liked forever but was very Picturesque walk along the beach promenade and the passings of bars, shops, a 16th century castle to exclusive hotels and villas dotting the hills. At last we came out of this wooded Peninsula and turned down this windy cobblestone road into Portofino's dazzling harbor with sleek jewelry shops, art galleries, Haute couture boutiques, and many restaurants makes Portofino very appealing. We enjoyed a lovely lunch after such a long walk and a bottle of wine and just took it all in from our table with a front view of the harbor.
